I came to realize something earlier. As the tail end of early college decisions start to be released, most of those still waiting are freaking out or doubting themselves. But in all honesty, no amount of worrying or building yourself up will change anything. Colleges have already made their choices. They know exactly who is accepted, who is denied, and who is deferred. You’re not doing anything but giving yourself wrinkles with all this worrying.
So all in all, chill. Enjoy what time you have left in your senior year. Don’t stress it out. What’s done is done. Come 8 months, hell you’ll be pretty much ready to go to whatever college you decide on. And to think that only 8 months ago, you began the road down this rough process.
To those who are still applying, all of us Techies can get into fantastic schools whether or not it’s our first choice. Furthermore, I realized that it’s a horrible boost of confidence to blindly tell someone that “they’ll get in for sure”, unless you really know that person well. But either way, I guarantee that in maximum 2 years, 95% of people will love whatever school they go to.
Personally, I’m waiting on a MIT Early Action decision, but I can’t give a damn. They got all of my info; they’ll interpret however they’d like.
Good luck to everyone. No matter what results may come, you’ll have an amazing 4 years.
Yesterday, I was in Sam’s Club and these two young children, a brother and a sister, were having a race from one end of the aisle to the other in front of my cart. When they arrived at the other side, they worried not about the race, but what was in the freezer there. Then they began laughing together and joking with each other. I miss childhood innocence.
And still the same old boring crap.
I love calculus.
that is way too much math to just do in your head in the 10 seconds you’ll see the persons shirt.
Still awesome, though. :)
Too much mental math.
